Umhlanga Arch construction making headway
The Umhlanga Arch construction team is working around the clock to produce, what will become, KwaZulu-Natal’s most game-changing development to date. When driving past the site, you will notice a huge amount of work has already been achieved and the reality of Umhlanga Arch is not too far away.
In less than 3 months, Umhlanga Arch has completed the foundations, columns, surface beds and level 7 slabs are completed for the podium. The brickwork and first fix service have begun on levels 8 to 5. The electrical switchroom for Ethekweni is ready for inspection and handover at the end of August. The loft units are under construction with brickwork also underway, while the detailed design drawing packs for the Hotel are now being prepared for submission by mid-September.
“It’s really thrilling being able to see all the puzzle pieces come together. We have full confidence that the construction team will deliver our product timeously and present workmanship of the highest standard,” says Chris du Toit, Developer representative of Umhlanga Arch.
Umhlanga Arch has performed phenomenally, with the sell out success of the lofts and apartments, followed by the great interest shown in the available office spaces. The construction team has ensured the vision of Umhlanga Arch is executed and as each month goes by, locals are starting to see this iconic building actualise.
